ABOUT ME

Name - Bernardo Torres. Portuguese name that comes from Latin. Bernardo means strong bear - the Latins were wrong.

All my life I lived in Lisbon, Portugal, but in January 2013 I moved to Istanbul to start studying copywriting at Miami Ad School - it has been a great experience so far, and I'm loving the kebab life.

Never hosted or been hosted so far, but hope that changes soon. I use CS to meet other people - travellers or locals - in meetings or gatherings.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I think music should be everywhere in the world - streets, public transportation, everywhere. I like to listen to everything but Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, of Monsters and Men, the Black keys and that sort of music has been playing on repeat lately.

Movies - Can't think of a single one I specially liked. But I enjoy watching every type of movie.

Books - not much of a reader, unfortunately. Only read the Harry Potter series as a kid (a proud geek). All the others were at school because I had to. I think I also read the DaVinci Code, or at least I tried to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling in Dahab (Egypt). Swimming with the fish and seeing the corals was amazing, I felt like a National Geographic explorer.

Teach me everything you can. I don't like to learn by books but I love to learn by people and peoples stories.
