Self proclaimed nature enthusiast. Enjoy juicy apples, digging up worms, backpacking barefoot, and the occasional mescaline trip. 6' 2", about 155 lbs, Several awesome tattoos.

PHILOSOPHY

Fortunate enough to grow up in a family/environment that valued the outdoors. Countless backpacking excursions around Alaska's humbling terrain have instilled a passion for the natural world that I have trouble translating to productive measures in society. Hopefully I'll figure that one out eventually.

I love wholesome, delicious food, massive heirloom tomatoes that taste like pure bliss, backcountry skiing, going fast on my road bike, swimming underwater, laughing and connecting with people I've just met, everything about mushrooms, excessively dark coffee, and leaping off waterfalls. I like to engage every person I can, and try to live my life with a degree of spontaneity that keeps it interesting.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most vivid memories of my life occurred this fall while hiking with a friend (Bobby Lieberman, also on CS) on Kesugi Ridge near Denali National Park. We had been walking in dense fog for a couple miles, and just crested what felt like the high point in the ridge. As we began our descent in to a new watershed, we came completely out of the dense fog in a matter of steps, and were instantly humbled by the most breathtakingly beautiful alpine landscape I have ever laid eyes upon. Alpine lakes so crisp they were all but invisible, fluorescent patches of lichen forming an endless mosaic of neon colors, lines of rock cairns stretching into the horizon, and masses of ancient rubble imparting a larger-than-life mysteriousness to the mountain all contributed to forming one of the most intoxicatingly beautiful scenes I've ever experienced.
