ABOUT ME
IGNORE THE N/A RESPONSE RATE, I'M ACTIVE AND READY TO HOST AGAIN.
I've been away travelling for a year so my response rate dropped off to nothing, but I'm back home now and looking to host more surfers.

I'm a carpenter from New Zealand who caught the travel bug. I live in Melbourne, Australia with my partner Chloe. We've travelled the world together and met some great people through couchsurfing as surfers and as hosts.
We are both learning spanish, so any opportunity to practice with guests would be helpful.
When we aren't travelling, we live in a town called Frankston while we save for our next trip. It is about 50km from Melbournes city centre, it takes about 1 hour by car or a bit longer by metro. It's a bit of a commute to visit the city while staying with us but it's still easy to do.
Summer is the time to stay at our house especially if you have a car, as there are plenty of nice beaches nearby. Good surf beaches are about 30 mins drive away and nice swimming/sunbathing beaches are much closer. We are at the start of the Mornington peninsula which has a lot of nice little beachfront towns and great cafes away from the chaos of the city.
If you're just looking for a place to relax a bit and unwind from the stress of travel for a few days then this is a good place for it. In winter there isn't much to do but if you want to just relax, do some laundry, use some wifi or watch some netflix, you can do that here.

I'm usually travelling or hosting together with Chloe so check her profile here: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/4057062

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing has been one of the best experiences during my travels and really helped me to make the most of my trip. I won't forget the people I've met or the experiences they shared with me. So now I'm back home and it's time to pass it on to fellow travellers. I know from experience it can be more difficult to surf as a couple so we are happy to host couples as well as individual travellers or groups.

Interests

I love football, music (but who doesn't), sightseeing especially old buildings and cityscapes, sunshine and beaches.

Kayaking, snorkeling and bush walking in my spare time. Then the next 3 months traveling the East coast trying all of the tourist activities Australia has to offer.
