About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Alternatives, Willingness and Ebb and Flow

ABOUT ME

I am an eager learner, patient listener, and curious explorer. I love travelling and have used much of my free time in the last few years to do so. I am very interested in understanding how other cultures embrace life and define what is right/wrong, beautiful/ugly, desirable/undesirable.
Right now, I am on a quest for meaning; I wish to rediscover reasons for dreaming of a better world (whatever that means remains to be seen). I wish to embrace my own abilities and capacity to overcome obstacles and to see the worth of the world around me.

PHILOSOPHY

Porque cada dia es un comienzo nuevo,
Porque esta es la hora y el mejor momento.
Benedetti

I am practicing mindfulness of the present moment and a focus on participating in my own life while identifying my thoughts, judgements, expectations and feelings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in sharing with others, profiting from rich cultural encounters and most of all, in the power and energy I receive from knowing I am not alone... there are others around me that care for similar issues, have similar questions and enjoy similar things. That is powerful.

Interests

I love to read historical novels, fiction, short stories, poetry. To practice my french, I have recently developed an appreciation for french film. Concerts, performances and festivals are all plans that I love going too. The best kind of lunch is a picnic in a park, in the mountains, or by the lake. I love to hike and although I'm not the best at it, I also like biking. A good conversation is my ideal afternoon.
