ABOUT ME

Hello fellow meanderers,
I'm Christine- I eat, I drink, and I wander. I'm a sommelier so I can almost count my travels as work experience (if I put the right spin on it all).
One night you could find me at a 3 star restaurant and the next day I'll be off in the wilderness, I'm pretty much up for anything. And I fit on small couches.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently on a 6-month journey with a focus on major wine producing regions. March-early May I'll be in New Zealand, May I'll spend in Australia, June in Italy and July in France. Though it'd be awesome to meet people with a love of wine, beer, and food along my journey, I am certainly not limiting my experiences by those interests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I've been traveling I cannot host anyone but I've been surfing as much as possible and man have you guys made this trip everything it could be. The couchsurfing hosts and friends I've met so far are truly the highlights of this trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked with a couple fishermen down the western side of Iceland, stopping at ports along the way to view the ships (aka competition).

Teach, Learn, Share

I will ask you a lot of questions about food. I'm sorry, it's inevitable, I love food and I love talking about food. I don't do this with wine though unless someone's really excited about it, then you can't shut me up. Teach me how to successfully order food in your language and I'll most likely hug you.
