About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do all the things!

ABOUT ME

Just finished a summer in Alaska as a sea kayak guide and now coming to beautiful Peru to explore before it is time for winter jobs to start!

PHILOSOPHY

"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Le langage est source de malentendus." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've mainly surfed especially since the places I live in are rather small and don't really have a lot of people visiting them. But I'm hoping one day in the future to live somewhere where I can host surfers and give back some of the amazing experiences I have had.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with some amazing people so far in Paris, Vienna, Bratislava and Guatemala City! Every single one of them were more than hospitable and amazingly kind and generous people. I am so glad I was able to have them in my life even though it was for such a brief period of time.
I have also met some lovely travelers in Alaska that allowed me to travel to the Arctic Circle with them. Impossible without coushsurfing! =)

Interests

I love to dance. Everything about it is so enticing to me. I love the way bodies move.
I love skiing, but not super intense skiing, just the casual long pretty trails where I can daydream and just be a dork about nature.
One of my favorite things is to laugh. I laugh at everything and anything. I never want to be a person that can't find humour in a situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books/Authors: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Shel Silverstein, A Clockwork Orange, nerdy nature books

Music: Kali Uchis, Lizzo, Tom Odell, Pink Floyd, Childish Gambino, Smash Mouth, Rusted Root, various indie/punk/alternative artists

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The scariest thing I have ever done was jump off the Verzasca Dam at 220 meters[with a bungee ;)] I'd love to do it again! It happened so fast it was hard to understand what was happening! But the feeling I had when my feet left the ground is completely indescribable.

I was skiing in Canada and it was incredible! I was able to ski at points higher than the clouds and then ski through the clouds themselves (which is a beautiful thought, but in reality very cold and misty), but the view was incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am so interested in different cultures and languages. (But isn't that part of why we are here?!)
I love hearing stories about how people grew up and the things that are important to them.
If you speak a different language I would love to learn a phrase or two!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can try and teach a bit of basic French or if you like to dance I know a little bit of belly dance and swing dance if that interests you. I'm also not the worst cook! But I'm not the best either.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Guatemala, Hungary, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Slovakia, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Switzerland, United States
