ABOUT ME

I am a middle school science teacher. Since I spend most of my time with goofy 12-14 year olds, clearly I am goofy too. When not teaching, I am reading, hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, cooking, hanging out with friends, playing board games, traveling, and adventuring!

I surfed during a trip through Europe, and have done a little hosting. I have also used couchsurfing as a way of meeting friends in cities around the world! Let's meet up!!

Interests

I will never be a true master of any hobby because I am too interested in trying everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 6 weeks canoeing a river from headwaters to terminus in the Canadian arctic (Nunavut). During this trip, I saw no human other than my 5 companions--however, I did make friends with the muskoxen and white arctic wolves! I finished off the trip with a lovely swim in the Arctic Ocean.

I want to learn about what it is like to live in every area that I visit! I also like to connect people with places and experiences that I think are essential to my home.

I can cook, tell ridiculous stories, and help with work that needs to get done around the house.
