Coming to Europe soon! I'll be presenting at the AFO film festival in Czechia and spending a few weeks in the region. Hoping to connect with nice folks along the way..

I'm a Portland native who loves the city and bioregion (Cascadia) I am from. I teach nature-based studies online and around the continent, as well as run a small mushroom farm and put on a film festival. I like to always think outside the box, try new things, challenge myself, and carve out good/bad jokes and great conversation wherever and whenever possible. I'm laid back, often joking around, always optimistic, but not always punctual. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been mostly hosted in across various continents in the past and would like to give back. I don't often get to travel outside of work-related trips, so having folks from around the world share some of their stories is a great way to pull the travel bug out of my ear.

Interests

I love being creative whenever possible. Illustration and music are my favorites practices, but I mostly only have time for photography and, lately, sign painting. I am equally interested in the sciences, especially biology and applied sciences. I love going to the natural areas outside Portland and Oregon and seeing new places in this region, taking photos, and picking mushrooms!
