ABOUT US:

We are French teachers, working and living abroad with our little daughter Lilya, and for us, there is no better way to discover and feel a country than working in it... we feel we can be happy wherever we meet new people, and we understand better all the meanings of human life... Thomas loves food, literature, history and of course travelling all around the world. Cindy loves dancing, having fun, languages, meeting new people and travelling too. Lilya is an active little girl, borne in Qatar and already enjoying discovering the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After years hosting a lot in Tbilisi (Georgia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Istanbul (Turkey), Seguret (France), Heredia (Costa Rica) and Pereira (Colombia), and Doha (Qatar), we re now in Taipei to start a new life.
We used a lot CS in our last long trip through Central Asia. We love to host people and to show them the best of the place where we're living. But i do love also to surf new places, and to feel i met a new friend who was waiting for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
we had several couchsurfing experiences ...
interesting meetings with plenty of people we hosted where we lived in Argentina, Georgia, Malaysia, Turkey, Costa Rica, Colombia and Qatar.

October 2009 - September 2010:
i surfed several places and met CS during my South East-Asia and Indian Sub-Continent travel in malaysian Borneo, Brunei, Indonesia, Philipines, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan.

January 2011: We enjoyed a wonderful travel through Budapest and Croatia meeting nice CSers, Szilveszter, Istvan, Tamara, Zeljka, Eszter thank you so much to all of you.January 2012:For my second trip to Iran (and the first for Cindy), we mainly used Cs and by this way we had a very good view of iranian society, going from one end of the political and social spectrum to the other.

August 2011-June 2012:
We traveled from Istanbul till Beijing, surfing places in Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, India, Malaysia, Macao, Hong-Kong, China, Mongolia and Russia.

May-June 2013:
We visited chilean Chiloe and Carretera Austral, chilean and argentinian Patagonias and argentinian Tierra del Fuego, surfing places.

2013-2014: Done some CS around Panama, Costa Rica, and Central America.

2015: Done some CS around Colombia and Ecuador

July-August 2016:
We travelled the Amazon river from Colombia to Brazil and circled the 3 Guyanas and Trinidad y Tobago using extensively CS ...

November 2016: We spent a wonderful wee of holidays in San José del Guaviare staying with local CS Claudia and Uberney; one of our best CS experiences, definitively top 3 !

From 2014 to 2018, we did some CS in Colombia hosting and meeting nice CS in the country.

From 2018 to 2021, we've lived in Qatar and hosted and showed around our city of Doha for CSers passing through Qatar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i went last yesterday (i mean saturday 5th of July 2008) to Pahang, and finally discover a little paradise in Terengganu, Pantai Kemasik... the place to be in Malaysia...

But better than this, i also know now the place to be in Turkey: the eastern side of INKUMU beach, near the sad Amasra on Black sea cost.
I had a wonderful bathing there with my beloved girlfriend Cindy for Bayram (on 1st december 2009).

An other not so bad place, the Hvar beach, near Split, where i enjoyed a short swim in februrary 2011...

Or the 300 meters you have to walk to have enough water, to your knee! to try to swim in Aral sea near Aralsk, in Kazakhstan, in october 2012...

O la playa de Punta Uvita, cerca de Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, donde pude pescar una langosta para Cindy, en octubre 2013...

O la Playa de Junquillal, en el Pacifico de Guanacaste, al amanecer, cuando tiene toda la playa par disfrutar en paz, en julio 2014...

O Playa Blanca, unica playa de la laguna de Tota, en la provincia de Boyaca, fresca pero preparador para luego ir a comer una trucha arco iris en la ciudad cercana de Aquitania, en febrero 2015...

O la playa de los Frailes, cerca de Puerto Lopez, en la costa ecuatoriana, temprano en la mañana cuando aun esta desierta y vibrante, en diciembre 2015 ...

O la Praia da Ponta Negra en las afueras de Manaos, en la orilla del Rio Negro em julio 2016...

Or with a tasty bake and shark on the Maracas bay beach in august 2016 ...
