About Me

*UPDATE: Summer 2019 - we have once again been hosting intensively during July and August so far. We now need a little break again to get our life back on track. We'll also be travelling for the rest of August so if you want to stay with us, we'll only consider requests for September. Thanks! *

CURRENT MISSION - Live, Love and Learn
Live: enjoy the present, make the most of every day and don't take anything for granted
Love: being a good father and husband to our young family
Learn: making music and films, playing better tennis and speaking French more fluently

ABOUT ME

We had our first child back in January 2018 and now expecting our second in October 2019.
My wife and I moved back to France in summer 2016 having lived in different parts of the world. We can't travel as much as we used to (because of babies), so hosting people from around the world helps to keep our minds and souls open.

I can be lazy but I am determined to pursue my dreams. I am poor in my pockets, but I'm rich in experiences. I am simple yet sophisticated.

I've been moving around the world since my graduation from university in 2006. My adventures have brought me to living in Colombia, Spain, China and Taiwan.

Other than my obvious passion for travelling, I'm also particularly keen on sports, nature, food, film and music.

FOOD - I live to eat, so if you love cooking and enjoy discovering foods from around the world, please let me know.

SPORTS -
I'm currently trying to improve my tennis skills, so if you play, please let me know.
I love football, more watching than playing these days, and I support Tottenham Hotspur.
I also love hiking, snowboarding and running.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey, take detours.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Give and take
Learning liberates the mind.
Comfort zone must be left behind in order to grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To give - Having travelled quite extensively around the world, I enjoy offering my alternative vision of certain countries - their culture and people.

I'm passionate about cooking, although I can't say I cook in one particular style as my dishes reflect the food that I've had the pleasure of tasting over my past travels. The kitchen is my playground, my palette and my orchestra.

To take - I hope to discover places I haven't been from a local's perspective whilst being able to make friends all over the world. I enjoy learning new things and listening to different ideas from other people. I LOVE asking questions so don't feel offended if I come across like an interrogator for documentaries.
