About Me

Back on couchsurfing after a couple of years break!

I've been an active member since 2006 and I'm still completely in love with the concept and way of travelling and meeting people. I have had many many amazing experiences though couchsurfing, and in order to figure me out, you'll probably get more out of reading my references than a cliché profil text ;)

But of course a lot has happened since then...

I'm still very spontaneous, adventurous, open minded and talkative; a curious soul with a big interest in the heart and soul of cities, countries and cultures. So the chance to enter a local home, try local food and beer, learn other languages etc. is definitely my preferred way of traveling.

As for me, you can expect a smiling, positive, creative and "geeky" person. I have a film acting degree and work as a singer/songwriter, but at the same time I have a great fondness of math (hence the engineering education). And I simple love to talk and laugh! :)

UPCOMING TRAVELS AND TRAVELPARTNER

At the moment I'm in San Francisco with a friend, and after this I'll be going to Boston for a week, primarily to visit my brother, who moved there in March to work at Harvard. As he will of course be working, I'll have most of the days to myself, and I would love to hang out with some great locals/CS'ers and enjoy Boston.

I don't expect a lot of your time - actually we don't really have a lot of expectations - but some nice talking, coffee drinking, dinner eating, guitar playing or city walking would be fantastic in whatever amount possible. :)

Looking forward to meeting you! :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many people, met some just for coffee and showed others around. I always write back, and even if i can't host you, I'll help you if possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had so many wonderful couchsurfing experiences, and actually no bad ones. Many fantastic CS'ers have crossed my way, opened their doors and made my trips unforgettable. Some I'm still in contact with some, and most I hope to get to see again.

Thanks for all the good times, the homemade food, the stories you've told and places you've shown me!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different music, as long as it touches me in some way... or makes me dance. :) The genres of my favorite bands vary from acoustic folk to hard rock. I even enjoy classical music at times.
Myself, I'm a singer/songwriter (folkish) and of course I enjoy a lot of other singer-songwriters.

Movies - I wouldn't know where to start.... Well actually, "In Bruges" was the first one that just came to mind - it's genius! Hilarious, deep, wonderful dialogues and well played.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitch hiked from Denmark around Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia, and back again with my best friend in July 2008, and that is the best experience I've ever had! I believe in the goodness of people, and this time I really got it confirmed!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about everything!! Both out of personal interest and because wide knowledge and experience is useful for an actor. ;) Any weird skill or hobby you might have, I find fascinating and would want to try/learn about. (Curiosity killed the Kat!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you some basic guitar or piano. I can help you with math. I will challenge you in pool or dice games and teach you how to pour beer (if you are american!) ;) I can offer great tips on hitch hiking and teach you how to flip pancakes in the air.
