I have a good job with very nice colleagues so probably it will take some years before travelling for more than a few weeks in a row will be possible again. In the meantime I like the short trips around Europe and surroundings - I would love to have an invitation for a nice place!

My spare time is used mainly on: friends, family, music, volunteer-work, Project-based ideas and the like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started out on Couchsurfing in order to meet interesting people from all over the world and that is exactly what happened.

About 25 visits at my place, and visits in Dubai, Milan, Munich, Lübeck, Andorra, Padova, Venice, Montenegro, Tunisia, Moldova, Ukraine, Qatar, Portugal, Australia, Bologna, Firenze and Hurghada which were all very positive experiences. Hopefully a lot more to come.

Music, Movies, and Books

A wide variety of music, presently listening to Mozart, but a lot of Jazz CDs and Pop CDs are placed on top of my stereo. When in the mood e.g. Clawfinger and Metallica is quite good for my well-being. I enjoy a lot going to classical concerts, musicals and operas.

With respect to books, my favorites typically come into two categories, firstly fiction based on real events during history - for instance Ken Follett is amazing here, secondly non-fiction with focus on history, science and linguistics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Nigeria as a volonteer for three months. Amazing to experience Africa that way!
