About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living gently on the earth, learning, eating, dancing, sharing, laughing, enjoying.

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty outgoing (most of the time) and really enjoy people. And animals (but not for eating). And nature. And food.

PHILOSOPHY

Not enough space here to express everything. But basically, learning and growing and respecting the planet and everything on it. And having fun. I like to challenge ideas, and to have my ideas challenged. I'm more of an idealist than a realist - I'm more interested in striving for what could be, than getting constrained by what is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still finding new and interesting things about Auckland (I'm oringinally from Wellington). I'm not able to host you at the moment but if you find me when I have some free time I could show you the cool places I know and we could discover some new places together.
I'm here to open my life (and my house once I'm able to) to new people, people who are willing to share and be open to new ideas. That's what I want to do - share, and expose myself to new ideas and ways of being. By connecting with other people we can bring about more peace and love in the world :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met the most wonderful people, had great conversations, shared yummy food, laughed and danced. CouchSurfing brings people together, helps people to connect and share. What can be better than that?

Interests

I'm interested in life and the planet, and what makes us who we are. And food. And cricket. And dancing. And camping. And running. And food.

Music, Movies, and Books

A whole range of stuff - especially things that make me think. I've noticed that I tend to read / watch non-fiction more than fiction. (But I do love sci-fi.) I'll listen to almost any kind of music, but I most love that which is crafted with passion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping in Colorado is amazing - big clear sky, dense blanket of stars, wildlife, scenery. Stunning.
Seeing the Northern Lights is incredible.
Sailing in Turkey is fantastic.
And you can't beat Wellington on a good day :)

Teach, Learn, Share

My knitting is out of practise, as is my baking, but I can still share these with you. I can share with you about a sustainable lifestyle, and you can teach me what you know. I can share with you about a life-giving whole-food plant-strong diet, I'm learning more each day. I can teach you about cricket. I can help you style a mohawk without cutting your hair. I can help you learn about your thinking processes and how to change them if you want to.
I'm open to learning anything someone else feels is valuable enough to want to teach.
I'd like to share food :)
Maybe we can go to a ceilidh ('kay-lee' = Scottish dancing and music) - ceilidhs are awesome!!
I'd like to share ideas and thoughts with you, like what you're passionate about, what makes you think, what you dream about, what confuses you, what inspires you. I'd like to laugh with you.
