Hello there! Before continue reading my profile I have to share an unpleasant experience that cost me a negative reference from a very new member to the couchsurfing family. This girl sent me a couchsurfing request asking me for a couch for her and for her two friends. I told her that there is might a possibility to host her but after some days I declined her request. She decided to leave me a negative reference for changing my mind. Couchsurfing is not a free accommodation website. It is a community for hospitality and culture exchange and a place for people meeting other people.

I normally receive two to three cs requests per day and it is very difficult for me to say no. I have hosted people with empty profiles / freeloaders / people just for one night and many members thinking that my house is a place for free food / free shower and a free bed.

I feel betrayed from couchsurfing community / staff that letting people giving negative references before hosting. Anyway TRUE couchsurfers will ignore this negative reference and still send me requests, but I wanted to come clear about this incident which it bothers me.
