ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Renaud, but most of my friends call me Carib.

I'm an open minded person, quite tranquil, but I also like to go out for some drinks, and/or to listen to some good music.
I love windsurfing, surfing, to go out with my friends, spend time with nice people, take the apéro, etc. I don't smoke.

Pretty tough to describe oneself: it's always easier to talk about somebody else.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing used to be such a great community. During the first years I really enjoyed it, I met great people and lived many wonderfull experiences. Back in the days it was more about sharing, learning from others, making new friends.
Saddly the things started to change in the last years: more people, less community. The original spirit of Couchsurfing is fading and is becoming mainstream, far from what we used to know. Not only because of its members, but also because of the people at the head of Couchsurfing. The website was simple, easy to use before they decided to change the status of the non-profit organization to a for-profit company, growing exponentially, targetting a maximum of memberships over quality.

Having said that, I know that there are still many and many more great couch surfers who joined the community that are also looking for other interesting people to share a bit of their life with them.
As I said to many travellers by the past Couchsurfing is not about sleeping for free, but sharing. If it is just to sleep, go find a hostel. If you want to talk, exchange, discover, etc, welcome.
