I like hammocks. I like smiling and laughing and being amazed by how strange life can be. I like being outside and love nature. I like climbing and surfing and running and bouncing up and down. I like sleeping. I like wondering about how other people experinece life. I like seeing new places and hearing other peoples opinions. I like coffee. I like marine sciences. I like wine. I like warm summer nights and cold winter days. I like brushing my teeth under the shower. I like dancing. I like dreaming. I like life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I seem to be changing the country on a very regular basis during the last ten years or so which sometimes made it complicated to host people. I did have a few CSer stay with me though and it was always fun!
I only just moved to Vancouver so we are still settling in and getting organised ourselves but I am happy to try and host some people as soon as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a lot of wwoofing in Australia and New Zealand if that counts and I had an amazing time. I hosted some CSer in the past and they were always very nice people.

Interests

I used to be more of the mad hippie type traveller than what I am now but I still seem to be getting around quite a bit. I am (trying to be) a marine biologist and I love it, so really it is more of an interest than a job which is great. I love being outside. Hiking, climbing, diving, surfing, canoing. Generally a campfire lover kind of person. I like red wine. And beer. I like reading but I can never sit still long enough to read very much. I like hammocks. And tulips. I like having good talks with nice people. I like sleeping. I like life, because it is very strange.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music apart from pop+charts and enjoy going to gigs as much as I can. Glasgow has a great music scene, which I enjoyed very much when I lived there.

I love books by Haruki Murakami and many many more.
