About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world, meet people, try to fulfil my share of making the world a better place for everyone. Getting rid of plastics as far as I can...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted guests in Auckland, Bayreuth and Dresden. I surf from time to time couches when traveling privately. On business trips, I stay some times 1-2 weeks in Eastern Europe (in Hotels), but using Couchsurfing as a great tool to meet locals. A long time ago, in 2006, I have been to the CS community in Nelson, New Zealand. At a couchsurfer gathering in Auckland, I even met Casey Fenton, founder of CS.

Interests

Sustainability - we should stop destroying our base to life and preserve the beauty
Renewable Energies - if energy production problems could be solved, a lot of other problems could be solved if there were an abundancy of energy.
Cycling - the way to move
Cooking - good food can make a very big diffence for the day... Recently, I entered into community supported vegetable growing project, so now I have basically a veggie-flatrate ;-)
Diving - so much fun and beautiful
Traveling - if have seen a lot of places, but indefinitely many interesting places wait to be explored...

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: good science-fiction (eg. dystopias like "Soylent Green"), no mans land, ...

books: Terry Pratchett a while ago, right now after having left school for 15 years back to contemporary German literature again, which can be astoningly entertaining!

music: Radio Paradise! crossover reggae (Bedouin Soundclash, The Blackseeds, Fat Freddy's Drop, Manu Chao, Marlon Roudette), relaxed hip-hop and a bit of everything (Bonaparte, Air, , Pink Floyd, but also some Classic music like Carmina Burana).
