About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn the world, enjoy the world, improve the world (and myself by the way)
ABOUT ME
Professional advice-giver; ex homebirth lay midwife, proud-to-bursting mother of 2 wonderful grown-up children. Now a grandmother too! Amateur adventurer. Passionate life gourmet. Still striving to make the world a better place after 40+ years...
PHILOSOPHY
Try hard to change the things you can't accept and to accept the things you can't change; but try even harder to sort out which are which...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Member of some groups, I helped translate the site into Spanish way back in the good old times
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couch-surfed and hosted many times, before CS often with fellow women's and home birth movement members. Got some great life-long friends from it too!
Interests
Lots! Responsible travelling, every culture in the world and its people, mother nature, hiking (Los Caminos de Santiago freak), photography (bad but eager) music, singing (I belong to an amateur choir), folk dancing, cinema, web surfing (I'm really curious, nothing in the universe is uninteresting to me!), environmental issues, human rights, social justice, education, the magic of language and communication,...

Music, Movies, and Books
Very eclectic tastes. Love cinema, from "The Lord of the Rings" and Terminator 1 (not the rest), to later Clint Eastwood works, to Deepah Mehta's "Water", to obscure arty films.
Adore folk, traditional and world music. And Musicals: Stephen Sondheim is God, and Tim Minchin is AntiGod but I worship him anyway!
Love reading non-fiction and fiction that challenges both my mind and my heart. Also quality comic books (Art Spiegelman, Joe Sacco, Allan Moore, and many others). And let us not forget Monty Phyton, Terry Pratchett and George R. Martin...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Birthing my two children at home (self-delivering my youngest one): my very very best trips ever!
Teach, Learn, Share
Occupational (Job) counseling. Home Birth and body politics. Alternative education.
Always thrilled to learn about enviromental issues, different places and cultures, and any type of project for positive change.
