About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn to accept the fluster

ABOUT ME

No sense of direction, but happy with life that way. Much noisier than I realise, but in a good way. I like to sing out of tune and dance in public places and laugh at inappropriate times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently travelling, so no couch, but I'd love to host when I eventually make somewhere home. I've met some awesome people through the cs meets, they're a fantastic way to feel at home anywhere in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Currently reading anything I can pick up at a book exchange – stopping myself from buying books has been the absolute hardest thing about traveling. My all time favourites are pretty eclectic: A Room with a View, The Secret History, Middlemarch, When We Were Orphans, Regeneration, Franny and Zooey, If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things, and then everything by Edith Wharton, Philip Roth, A.S. Byatt, Anne Tyler, Sebastian Faulks, Tom Stoppard…Oh and Harry Potter, which I refuse to feel guilty about!

Music: Changes everyday - Carole King, the Fratellis, Ani DiFranco, Tilly and the Wall, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joni Mitchell, Muse, Ryan Adams, Bloc Party, Otis Redding, The Clash…

Films: The Lives of Others, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine, Goodbye Lenin!, Amelie, Fight Club and especially anything scary and gruesome like Silence of the Lambs, Saw, Seven etc – you can’t beat a good scary movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving on the Great Barrier Reef was amazing, even Finding Nemo can't prepare you for how stunning it is. Being in Singapore for the National Independence Day celebrations in 2004 was fantastic, never seen so many fireworks and what a party!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Switzerland, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
