About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make a difference, and enjoy every moment in life..

ABOUT ME

I am authentic, open-minded and a happy person. I feel very fortunate and in general I am good in keeping focus on the bright side of life. I love to meet people sharing the present moment :o)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is about giving and caring.. Being aware of the small things in life such as remembering what makes other people happy and surprise them now and then :) Staying happy and reflecting on how fortunate I am..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do my best to give couchsurfers a good experience..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is fantastic, and made a big difference to my travels.. Have travelled alot in my life, and always had good experiences..

- but this way to meet people is simply the best!!

I have stayed with so many great people and hosted many as well :) Even hosted a few of the people who had hosted me and stayed friends with many of those I made friends with meeting up different countries :)

Interests

I love to travel, meet people from around the world, and as best as I can - make a difference in the world..

Friends and family, climbing, dancing, yoga, kajakpolo, reading books, writing, meditation, diving and A LOT more..
I started winter bathing september 2012 and since that my passion for the ocean exploded! I try to get in every day but unfortunately my life-circumstances here at Greenland just makes it possible once a week at the moment.. Just being grateful that I actually CAN get in here :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Eckhart Tolle, Dalai Lama, Neale Donald Walsh, Byron Katie, Daniel Goleman, Deepak Chopra and so many more..
I love movies about "love-stories" and what many would describe as "stupid teenagers highschool movies".. Cant help it :)
I have no TV but must admit that now and then I like to crash with my Mac and "time-out" with series on "Netflix" :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmm, many years to remember back on!
Well, some of the highlights have been:

Stayed in Moscow during the military-cup in '91
The transsibirian railway
Walking on the great wall in China

Carnival in Rio
Fozz de Iguazu in Brazil/Argentina (..when they tell you it looks better from the Argentina-side, its true
-even though it seems like it cant get better!!)
The Pantanel in Brazil is amazing!

The pyramides in Cairo
Sunrise at Mount Sinai in Egypt - beautifull!
Camelsafari around Sinai for 3 days was incredible and very special..
Dahab not to forget - the litle "corner of the world"

Viapassana meditation retreat, 10 days of silence
- will recommand everyone to do it!

The inlandice on Greenland - unbelieveable!!!
Recently (2014, 9 years after my first tour to the Inlandice I now had a wholeday trip out there) FANTASTIC!! Never thought it could be better but it was! Walking around for 4 hours, the formations going high and so many "meltingwater-lakes" :)
3 days on a sledge with 15 dogs attached to it
-incredible and cold, but absolutely one of the best!

Crossing Mt.Tongarriro, New Zealand
Iceclimbing on Fox Glacier
134 m bungyjumping - Nevis in Queenstown
(..the best adrenalin-kick EVER..)

233 m bungyjumping - Macau Tower
(..high, but unfortunately they have some safety so the "bungy-back-effect" is missing - well of course they need to, so that you dont hit the tower, hehe..)

Another bungyee in Aradena Crete Island 136 M
(fantastic scenery and kicking ass like Newis but surprised how quick we get used to things - adrenalinrush faded out so sadly quickly!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a daily meditation/yoga practice which I can share with other interested, and I am a laughing-instructor
- started a laughing-yoga club at Greenland in 2005

So I can make people laugh,
ho-ho, ha-ha-ha, ho-ho, ha-ha-ha :o)
