About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Breathing, Growing, Living, Loving, Learning and just Being ME.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Calgary, Alberta where I went to University to study engineering. I got involved with a few small business ventures, such as a small t-shirt company, a silkscreen shop and music promotions (I'm a musical sponge).

When I finished school I decided to travel Latin America for a year and learned Spanish and Portuguese. Although when I speak Portuguese Brazilians say to me "Você não fala Portuguese, você fala Portuñol!".

After my travels I was adopted by my current city of Montreal. I'm currently working in a firm designing applications for wind energy. I'm trying to keep up my other languages here while learning french, maybe after that I'll continue on to learn Mandarin and Italian... we'll see.

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes people need to get out of the routine that the are in, take a step back and really look at what they are doing with their lives. Life is too short to do the same thing all the time just for the sake of doing it. Find out what life really means to you and then ´live´ it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have used Couchsurfing a lot in my travels and hope to give back to the community after such a positive experience.

I have told people all around the world about traveling and most of my travel stories revolve around Couchsurfing experiences.

Its more than just a free place to stay, its about making friends all around the world, understanding cultures, learning languages, understanding people and building better communities by eliminating boundaries. The world is a lot smaller than you might think.

I hope to continue spreading the word and begin hosting people soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but good vibes and good times from Couchsurfers. Anyone who welcomes a stranger into their home is automatically cool in my books. I now have best friends all around the world thanks to Couchsurfing.

Interests

I'm an environmentally conscious person and have a passion for architecture and sustainable development. Music surrounds my life whether I am listening to it, singing in the shower, dancing in the street or learning to play one of my random instruments. Apart from meeting new and interesting people, I enjoy watching thoughtful documentaries and reading a good book.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning how to play guitar, among many other instruments that I have collected. I traveled with ,y guitar everywhere but don´t expect me to entertain you with singing songs because I'm not that good and quite timid when playing in front of people. But if you have an instrument we can have fun and jam. If you want to learn too I can try to teach. And if you play guitar too maybe you can teach me a thing or two!

I love sharing music. I captures memories, it tells stories, and it may even say something about a person, their personality and their culture. If you don't believe me I'll make you a mixtape (on an actual tape! haha) and you can tell me what you think.

I also love learning languages. I know I don´t put an effort to write in other languages on my profile, but I´m a lot better at speaking than writing, entonces hablamos en español, ou podemos falar portuguese tambem! sinon, on peut parler francais si vous voulez.
