About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"The older I get, the better I was." I'm a creative, adventurous guy with great curiosity about the world. I want to help folks understand what's wonderful & possibly overlooked by others.

ABOUT ME

I love learning new things and new skills. Everything is connected somehow. I can be introverted at times, but I'm a true Sagittarian otherwise.
I'm 'Uncle Paul' to my family of 1 nephew, 5 nieces, and many great-nephews, and great-nieces.

I have many loves: travel, of course, but also art, painting and curating, music, history, quirky SF, cooking, outdoors, riding on my scooter, and reading. I've spared you the other 634 areas of interest.
I've had a very complex, challenging and yet amazing and rewarding life. It could end now, and I wouldn't have any regrets. My story is almost hard to believe as it's so different from what most people go through in life. As a result, I have some unique views that form my own belief system, and that I find comforting & liberating. We create our own fears,or accept them from others. Fear then traps us in unhappy lives unecessarily. Our true core being is much simpler and peaceful than what we wrap around ourselves.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything on earth is connected in some way. Find the connections and parallels and you find a way to see and understand. Treating anything as inconsequential only hurts the earth, and ultimately you. Embracing and respecting the planet, its life and resources, is also respect for yourself as a citizen of this planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If we understand and respect each other, then we can improve our lives.

I'm a diplomat, an artist, and a person who shares ideas and gets people to REALLY look at the great things around us. I'm a great tour guide and have explored fun, unusual corners of my city so I can show you the San Francisco that few tourists and residents stop to see.

Interests

I'm not listing my many areas of interests. Just know that there are some things I'm not intersted in, like number crunching, trigonometry and physics.
