It is time now to forge a manifesto for living, to travel for the sake of travel, and to learn experientially from the world what it has to teach.

To make new friends and to strengthen old relationships. To sleep more on this earthen bed. To live and care for our planet in a sustainable way. To take a risk, push a little, follow our dreams, and make ourselves available for this beautiful world and its amazing habitants to surprise us and fill us with an insatiable sense of curiosity. To face the world head-on, and encounter it the way it is, not the way we imagine it....

and to be transformed.

A beloved couchsurfer scribbled a note on a paper, slipping it on my desk as she left... it eloquently captures my (our?) philosophy on CS:
