About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, to learn, to teach, to share and most importantly to enjoy life!

ABOUT ME

Enjoy to meet people and go out but a country girl at heart. Love being in the city but need big open spaces and sanctuaries once in a while or i stress out. I'm a little bossy (especially in the kitchen - i love to cook) and though i have strong opinions am open minded to others'. Would like the world to be a better place and hope to go about helping in my own way, sharing knowledge and love and learning how to help others and myself. Well human minds are complex so to find out more about me i guess you'd have to get to know me but this is a sample!

PHILOSOPHY

the world could end any second so enjoy everything as it comes. humans try to control everything and get scared of what they cant. surely if you cant do anything about it dont worry about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted several people , and like to think they had a good time! I definately enjoy meeting them all! I also participate and have participated in several CS groups in places I have lived, making new friends and joining in fun projects. Finally I like to enlighten fellow travellers to the wonders of couchsurfing, spreading the word, opening up the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through couchsurfing I have met marvellous people, learnt more about them, their cultures and countries and also more about myself. I have travelled through various parts of the world with CS and found kindred spirits and friendly hosts at every turn. CS is a wonderful experience for anyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

Really like Spanish and S.American cinema and a lot of Japanese films. Off the wall comedy and surrealism, docupic films like Baraka. Lots of spaghetti westerns and gangster films....
With music the list is endless. Rock (60's + 70's mainly) reggae, punk, indie, old skool rap, blues, a bit of everything really.
Bookwise, argh! Don't know. Have a few fave writers:- Aldous Huxley, Roddy Doyle, Tom Robbins, Truman Capote, Margaret Atwood, Louis de B and many many favourite books. Can't think of many individual titles but this summer have really enjoyed L. Shriver's 'We Need To Talk About Kevin', Bruce Chatwin 'In Patagonia', Larry McMurtry’s Lonesome Dove series

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to choose from!!! Recently probably would be: carnival in Trinidad, getting covered in paint and dancing to soca until the early hours of the morning, camping in the Desierto de Tatacoa after walking for hours and then bathing in a natural swimming pool in the middle of the desert and finally walking on the beautiful and deserted Bocagrande beach in Tumaco. This is just a few of the things in the last year and I hope there will be many more to come this year!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share and learn about music, films, literature, philosophies and other cultures. I can offer my language, my knowledge and an extensive collection of film, music and books to all interested. I would love to be more musical and learn many more languages, I welcome knowledge and hope others can learn from me as I learn from them. Sharing information and experiences is the first step in overcoming ignorance and the bitter problems it causes in this world. CS is the ultimate opportunity to teach, to learn and to share, it is a step towards a better world, with more trust, knowledge and love.
