About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To finally move north of the border

ABOUT ME

I work in the charity sector and I love it. I'm grateful on a daily basis to have a job I enjoy since I spend a lot of time doing it. Lived in various countries beforehand, very happy to be back here...although just about to make a big change!

Originally from the middle of nowhere in Yorkshire, escaped at 18 with no intention of going back. Now I like nothing better than going back (although always with a return ticket in hand).

I love London and have spent the last couple of years absolutely making the most of it . I love to be out and about exploring whether in the city or the middle of nowhere. After a couple of years, I now have itchy feet and am embarking on a new adventure. I'm very excited to be heading to Scotland to do a masters. I've always wanted to live there, can't wait!

PHILOSOPHY

Volunteer when you can if you can. It's amazing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've stayed on couches in various countries and have also been to (and organised) lots of social meet-ups in Japan. I haven't ever been in a position to host and unfortunately that is likely to be the case for a while! It's something I feel bad about but I try to make up for it in different ways. I am a trustee for a charity in India and help house lots of young children so I hope this goes a little way in making up for it.

I own a house in Bulgaria since buying one in the UK seems to be an impossible dream. One day it'll be fit for a whole host of visitors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love it love it love it love it

Lots of non-CSers think you can only join if you have a couch. I think this is a shame and I really try to change views. I've met some of my best friends through CS just through meet-ups.
