About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To turn "globalization" into a good word.

ABOUT ME

I am an American. A Californian. An artist. My city friends think I'm totally hippied out with my beard, campfires and world travels. But my hippie friends think I'm totally sold-out and urban with my fancy cocktail parties, Hollywood film sets, and tuxedos. I love life, and am constantly freaked out by the awesomeness of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Do it now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been treated so well by strangers when on the road. I want to return the favor.. and make that essential difference in someone's journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing has been a great way to travel. In Edinburgh, Paris, Beijing, and within my own country... I've really enjoyed this community. Now that I'm back in San Francisco, I'm excited to keep the adventure rolling, do some hosting, and meet some peeps.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I found a phone booth in the middle of the California desert once. It was ringing, so I answered it. It was a German man named Danny. "Is this the American desert?" We talked for awhile, and then I hung up. It rang again. It was a Scottish woman. It turned out that someone had put up a website with a photo of the phone booth, and the number. And it rang off the hook. I camped by the phone for two days and answered it, and spoke to people from 25 countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a video technology guy. You want to know a thing about travel video podcasting. I'm one of the leading world experts.

Or not. Cameras are not for everyone. I have some great Hollywood stories and a thirst for a nice bottle of....
