ABOUT ME

I'm a 26 years old female who loves to travel and meet new people. Avid hiker, camper, survivalist: basically anything that has to do with the outdoors, I'll be game for. Very few things could make me happier than a great book, poem, good conversation, meeting new people, swimming, cliff jumping, etc. I'm basically just looking to make as many genuine connections and have as many adventures as possible. I believe very strongly in watching out for everyone, being kind above all else, and forgetting all about whatever "safety net" you may think you need.

Life is too short not to enjoy it!

I joined a long time ago and went inactive for awhile because of random, unrelated life events/adventures but I'm back!

Ooh boy, too much to list. Blues, jazz, reggae, classic rock, jam, anything you can dance to. I will read anything and everything placed in front of me. Ah, like I said too much to list but feel free to ask away! Some of the best conversations start on these three topics.

People and their actions constantly leave me awestruck. I've met a lot of really fantastic people willing to go out of their way to help just about anyone and I like to subscribe to that mentality as well.

I was a camp counselor for many years out in the woods and my normal age group averaged between 5 years old to 10 years old. Watching the children bond together out in the woods making lean-tos, learning how to build fires, leaving no trace, learning to embrace themselves at the core of who they are and the wilderness that surrounded them was one of the most gratifying experiences ever.

The first time I saw the sunset on Sunset rock, the lake and sky lit a pink I had never seen before.. not quite like that.

Waking up for the first time on my first Appalachian trail hike and watching the sunset with nothing but me and the wilderness.

Anytime a stranger shows you a part of themselves, even if just for a brief conversation standing at a bus stop or passing on the street. Too often, we bustle past people who we could really connect to. The people who stop and are open to those connections are the people who make me the happiest and are the most reaffirming experiences I have, no matter what other adventures I may have.

I'll stop here because to list everything that has made me stop and think "Wow, this is life." would take far too long. You can't let life jade you, find pleasure and amazement in even the smallest things while on your journey to bigger ones.
