About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Write my first novel (English)

ABOUT ME

P.S.: Dearly Departed (And)

And the honks of cars from the outside fit in with the music. And she held my hand in my pocket – standing w/her back towards me, staring out the window – and cried silently, her tears slowly dripping down her cheeks. And her thumb was as cold as it ever was, while the rest of the hand – hot/warm (a paradox).

And the music was quiet and lonesome.

And out there was fog over Odessa, the usual April endeavor, when the temperature of the seas exceeds that of air. And out on the balcony were horizontal ropes and прищепки – the plastic, the blue the red and the green.
And the music was getting symphonic from the chamber. And she whispered: “This is so sad...”

And my heart pounded wildly, while something gurgled in the background – the sound of soya beans boiling on the stove.

And yet all I kept thinking was: writing this down is more important than living it. And all I kept wanting to do was to jot this down as fast as I could.

And I did.

PHILOSOPHY

The likely attracts the likelier. The unlikely attracts the unlikeliest. When the rough gets going, the going gets going blind (out of blind need).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hospitality is number one value on the list of any gypsy, such as myself. To be able to host and being a good guest, considerate, giving, bringing new experiences to people: "through the mystical communication, deep within it all comes through... forming underground railroad for our ultimate breakthrough" (Gogol Bordello)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a traveler, I have had so many couchsurfing experiences, that it is hard to be surprised anymore. I am not picky. Anything would do - from occupying the floor in the headquarters of Kiev's Workers Resistance Party, to very nice and comfortable experiences in a professor's house in Stuttgart. The most recent outstanding one is keeping an eye on the owner's dog in exchange of hospitality - feeding, walking, palying, and finally - delivering the puppies she gave birth to.

Interests

Unique points of view, authentic angles of perception, eye/mind-opening hair-raising insights, breathing, sea, love, drama, god, Hazrat Inayat Khan, freshly squeezed vegetable juices, bamboo flutes, mouth-harps (vargans, drymbas, trumpis, whatever you call them in yr part of the world), life poetry, tableux-vivants.
