About Me

CURRENT MISSION

2023: Trying out for the Canadian UWR *underwater rugby* team of Canada!!! The tournament will be in July (8-15th)

Dolphins, humour, fun, Liberland, underwater rugby...and to live to 110, find other spontaneous, crazy people who NEVER drink alcohol for some reason!!! My preferred reason for not wanting to drink: "no reason" ;)

ABOUT ME

2019: Sexy fun!
2015: Back in Budapest actively loving the Liberland project, enjoying the perfect summer weather, biking around, and playing underwater rugby as much as possible!!! -- otherwise, I'm pretty free, and just enjoying every second! :)

About Gyuri(George):I was educated in Canada, but have lived all around the world... My favourite country to date has been my own: Hungary!I love a lot of things! Of the most fattening: MARZIPAN and CREPES and American Pan Cakes! ...oh and american cheesecakes, Hungarian fruit soup, Bird's Milk (a kinda custard), TURO RUDY!...ahhhh and of course cant forget:ALL FLAVOURS OF ICE CREAM!O.k. that is enough about the sweet things. Lets talk about some things I really LOVE: hmmm... MORE SWEETS! :) truffles, cookies, apple pies, banana shakes (the tropical kind), fresh orange juice, MANGOES.Of the non-edible sweet things in life, I love: DOLPHINS, LARGE MOUNTAINS, BIG CITIES, SANDY BEACHES, BIKING, MONO-FINS, dogs, puppies, sloths, toucans...and most things that go: CHIRP!My latest quest is to learn about DOLPHINS but not by reading, or researching on the net, but by meeting people, and talking to them about what they have heard, learned or experienced first hand with dolphins!Otherwise, I am following the mango season around the world! :)

older 'about me' pre-2014:
I met wonderful Lisa in Thailand (Chiangmai), and we decided to take a break from our travels in South East Asia and went to the US to see the Burningman Festival! YEAH!!! GREAT FUN! We bought an awesome car for $300! and made it to Florida! :)We were living and working in Budapest, had a great time... but now the world beckons again, and were are BACK here on CS!
We were on the Budapest Underwater Rugby team!!! We miss it so much, that we are going to every city on our travels trying to TEACH everyone about it, so the next time we come around we'll have teams to join, and practice with EVERYWHERE! AWESOME SPORT! search "UWR" videos on youtube!

PHILOSOPHY

YES. Without hesitation. Always: YES! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will participate every chance I get... I will have a super cosy couch for everyone, but at worst, I always have an extra THERMAREST for my surfing guests!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Done adhoc. Before CS, I relied on good old fashioned word-of-mouth to share or find "couches"... Now I can add myself to the list of 'awed'... I am at AWE at how beautiful and FRIENDLY our planet is becoming through CS and other human-friendly network of communities like craigslist and meetup.com-ers, and of Burningman (burners)

Interests

Pretty much EVERYTHING...

2019: Travel, sports, adventures local and distant... but mostly preparing for the World Championships in Underwater Rugby (July 25th in Graz)... I will play on the Hungarian Team!! Yeah!

2015: Liberland, Bitcoin, UWR -- and everything else that interests YOU!

pre-2014: lately, though I am not American, I have become quite interested in the Revolution of consciousness that is going on in the US... and the WORLD! A fascinating, and (R)evolutionary currency idea: Bitcoin (I'm tried to incorporate the system, philosophy into my MSc thesis on Cap'n Trade, but the UPTB, university powers that be didn't let me do it) I wish I knew enough crypto-science to write about the actual system for storing the transaction records in the blockchain.
