About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To survive on charm alone

ABOUT ME

After having taught math and science to indigenous highschool students in northern Canada, I have packed up my cameras and am on a world tour making memories, meeting amazing people and trying to capture the magic of the experience to share with the world once I'm done.

PHILOSOPHY

In the calming words of Douglas Adams, "Don't Panic!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Nothing brings together a greater group of strangers than the love of travel, the trust in others and sharing a good meal and stories

Interests

Street food interests me.
Great street food interests me even more.
The greatest meal I have ever eaten was in the streets of Ha Noi. Sitting on tiny plastic stools, the aromas of the grilled meat balls as they gently wafting into my face. Why did no one teach me growing up, that such simplicity could taste so good?

I've recently come to the conclusion that the fewer walls an establishment has, the better the food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being able to drive myself on a motorbike through some of the world's most incredible sights like Angkor Wat, Meteora, Northern Thailand, Ha Long Bay, Cappadocia.

Scuba diving through ruined WW2 Japanese ships, snorkeling with whale sharks, and late night swimming with bioluminescent plankton.

Exploring ruins all over the world from Machu Picchu, Tikal, Hampi, Ellora caves and Petra.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you sooo many useless anthropology facts. You will say to yourself, "Whoa, this guy sure knows a lot about the Korowai". And I will reply, "Yeah, they are super interesting, aren't they?"

The answer is yes. They are
