About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel so much that it becomes a chore; to effectively communicate with 95% of the world that the other 5% are not all bad

ABOUT ME

Kids are asked what they want to be when they grow up, I'm still trying to answer that. I have a few ideas on "ultimate careers", but it's hard to argue against a job that affords me opportunities to travel and play. I play soccer as only an amateur can, draw as only a budding artiste can, and enjoy good beer(s) with friends as only a professional human can.

PHILOSOPHY

You are more likely to be eaten by a shark and a tiger on the same day than to win a national lottery. So I buy a ticket for protection. *mind explosion!*

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't say I intend to climb the ranks within the CS project; I just wanted to show some support since I have benefited from the generosity of other CS hosts. The real benefit of CS, obviously, is meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ireland, Ireland, Ireland. If you're at all interested in visiting Dublin, you must get in touch with DUBLINGUY and attend one of the many CS gatherings that he often hosts. Guaranteed you'll meet lots of CS folks and have a grand time. If you're as lucky as I was, you can catch a musical performance by a fellow surfer!

Interests

Soccer (watching and playing), Texas Hold 'em poker, beer drinking, traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

World Cup 2006 and 2010. Germany and South Africa each put on one hell of a show and I don't think I could possibly miss anymore World Cups outside of the USA.

Teach, Learn, Share

When visiting Portland, if you like beer, you'll be pleased to know that there is a large micro-brew contingent here. I would suggest visiting during the last full weekend of July for the Oregon Summer Brewers Festival.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
