About Me

CURRENT MISSION

see and experience the world

ABOUT ME

I moved to Pula, a city on the on the coast of the southern tip of Istrian Peninsula in Croatia (right across from Venice, Italy) in 2007. Then back to New York. Then back to Pula. I first moved from my hometown of New York with my dog Riley (we were living in the East Village[Manhattan] - as beautiful as it is here on the coast of Istria, I missed NY... it was in my blood).

I have seen a lot Istra and can't wait to explore more. I keep finding more and more places right near me that I didn't even know existed. I had a lot of fun touring around with couchsurfers back in 2007 and 2008.

I used to miss city life in the Pula winter but found that there are things to do as well. You just need to get creative.

Now I have really come to appreciate life on the coast of Croatia. It's beautiful.

I work as a chiropractor and have being doing so since 2000. I work a lot with development. I have a specialty with children and an pregnant women.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just thought I'd help out. It has been a lot of fun hosting but, now that I have a full family I no longer have a couch to surf. If you have any questions about the area please ask. I will try and help in anyway I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed once & have hosted 8 times and each has been a great experience. What started me was in the summer of 2000. I backpacked through Europe for a couple months & made a bunch of friends in Florence. They put me up, showed me around and, we all partied together(added some photo's of it). It made my trip so much better. I invited them to come visit me in NY....a few months later they were there.

Interests

Travel and culture.
Istria, Croatia
Chiropractic and a holistic mindset.
I'd like to eat my way through the world with the locally harvested food and drinks of the region (what ever it may be) with my wife.
Being with my family and teaching the kids about everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to Croatia from New York City on a whim. Just me and my dog. Kind of a spin-of-the-globe thing. Took over a chiropractic office on the coast soon after that I met my wife to be, we moved back to NYC and then realized we like it more on the coast of Croatia and moved back once again.
