About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking high-risk chances and having a blast

ABOUT ME

I am dead serious about getting the more fun I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I love sayings & proverbs from all nations. Here are two random ones:

1. Knock, and (the door) will be opened to you [Pulsate et aperietur vobis] - Latin

2. Attack is the best defence - Swedish

Crap I myself, shall give you because I'm convinced of it:

3. Life is about exchange, sharing, fluctuation. It's not still, and humans are not born to be alone. We should feel that we are part of all humanity and also that we live in perfect symbiosis with the planet we populate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted, re-hosted, double-hosted, triple-hosted, ad-hosted, surfed, had drinks, travelled, frantically raved about CS to randoms who might be slightly interested to hear about it, invented the concept of BunchSurfing in August of 2007 when some serious records were broken, and by records, I don't mean Pink Floyd LPs, although those were there too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had 75 people over in Belgrade in a year's time.

Svetla hosted me in Bulgaria, I've surfed in Israel in so many ways you could say I met the country's mom, fell in love with Albania meeting Nora and got to see amputated Kosovo first hand thanks to Timi.

Had one, but precious, guest in Joburg.

Interests

I'm *completely crazy* about everything Middle Eastern. You name it, I probably either sleep in it, eat it every day, listen to it all the time, think about it or am busy making it a part of my life.

Time-travel and daydreaming are my cherished hobbies. I love interior design of houses, nice furniture and little tricks in the organisation of the living space.

I learn every language I can get my hands on! And I use a lot of hyphens.

Hitch-hiking is also something I like very much. I have some experience in the Balkan peninsula and also a bit further. I love airports and planes, and space, and stars, and astrophysics and I love to think about space, time and all that. So, from these two concepts, it's easy to conclude that my goal in life is to hitch a ride from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan into outer space - a concept widely referred to as the "Ultimate Hitch".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In no particular order, and certainly not in the same timeframe, here are some things I have done:

- held more than one job over a period longer than a year
- stole avocados from the neighbour's tree
- watched Air Crash Investigation on a long-haul flight
- took pictures of places that don't exist anymore
- swam in 2 oceans
- still undecided about which is better - Reebok or Nike
