About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To care for people and for earth. To enjoy the bright side of life without denying what's wrong.

ABOUT ME

I am a natural and simple human being that enjoys life, meeting with people and sharing what life gives us. I have some very good friends and I am an open minded person that likes to share ideas, opinions and live and let live.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. Don't worry, be happy, but take your responsabilities. I think life could be better for all is each of us would get involved in caring more for others and for life in general. Planet earth and its inhabitants are one. I think we have to look inside ourselves because there is an entire universe to explore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am ready to give you information on the Montreal and the province of Quebec and show you the city. I can also provide a couch for people visiting Montreal. I live in a quiet neighbourhood that is around 20 minutes from downtown by public transportation and a bus 2 streets from my home brings you directly to the gay village.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did some couch surfing many years ago in New-York city before couchsurfing even existed...eheh...where I was received and in Peru as well. I shared couches when I was traveling in Morocco with a french girl and in Spain with a girl from New-York and we traveled a bit together and that was so great.

Interests

Learn about different civilisations and countries. Nice yummy meals (indian, brasilian, italian). Music, music and music (right now Brasilian music). I am very eclectic when it comes to music. Reading but mostly philosophic and/or spiritual books. I am not a religious person though, meaning I don't belong to any church or specific creed although I was raised as a catholic. I'd like to play percussions. I started to learn guitar, and I'd like to play brasilian percussions. Interests... eh! C'mon... I have so many interests, I don't understand people being afraid of feeling bored when retired. That will definitly not be my case, but... yes, I can understand...

Music, Movies, and Books

My best film: Harold and Maude, Crazy, Cinema aspirinas e urubus. I like films that let me with something when I go back home, sometimes drama comedy. I am starting to read Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist in portuguese (wish me good luck :-) Music: smooth jazz, brasilian music, french music from Quebec, but that may be many other kind of music as well. It depends of my mood and where I am in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 3 nights at Machu Pichu and it was a wonderful experience. As a social worker, I have seen how people can change in a positive manner when someone is there to listen to them and help them change their life. I lived in Essaouira in Morocco for 3 weeks and I will always remember those. I still remember my trip to Brasil in Jericoara dunes and when I came back from Cristo Redentor in the evening and the train stopped to let us enjoy the night view of Rio. I just love Brasil... nothing I can do about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you never received a shiatsu, I could give you a shiatsu session. You will know how it feels to receive a japanese massage and how relaxed you will feel afterwards.
I also do meditation and could introduce you to that as well. I am curious about any knowledge you would want to share with me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, France, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States
