ABOUT ME

About to pack up our lives and take off into the unknown.
We will be volunteering in Phnom Penh for three months from late November, and travelling through China and Laos for two months prior.
We backpacked through India for several months in 2007 and caught the travel bug! Despite signing up for CS at the time, we didn't make use of it, and have a slight regret as we've come to discover the best thing about travel is always the people you meet. We're hoping to learn, share and meet some great people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have hosted only 1 couch surfer so far, but always have space for anyone up until we leave.

Interests

Erin has studies audio engineering and likes taking photos, Vietnamese coffee, peppermint tea, sleeping in when there's nothing to do, and getting up early to see the sun rise to recharge the batteries, and music like A Silver Mt Zion, Public Enemy.
Rach is a trained art therapist and counsellor and likes painting, drawing, being productive, she likes no other music besides likes Pearl Jam, or more specifically, Eddie Vedder, and when I say music, I more mean dreaming of him naked and beardy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Erin - Authors: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Milan Kundera, Doris Lessing, Brian Aldiss, John Ralston Saul..
Music: Jazz like Bohren und der club of gore and Miles Davis, Hip Hop like Public Enemy, Poets like Gil Scott-Heron, and acoustic or "indie" stuff like Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes.. Movies directed by Darren Aaronofsky, and pretty much anything by Studio Ghibli, and British TV comedy written by Christopher Morris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rach was once the best college field hockey player in the USA.
Erin is pretty sure the most amazing things in life are yet to come
