About Me

My wife Franziska and I are on a long Luna De Miel around the americas.
We met on Couchsurfing :-)

We started in Argentina and we're slowly travelling north.

We are simultaneously rebuilding and renovating our apartment and our little wooden cabin in Copenhagen. That also mean, that we unfortunately cannot host.

ABOUT ME

My mountain bike is slow, but the earth is patient!

I am a sucker for coffee, it makes me happy just to think about a well-brewed cup of Arabica.

I'm pretty obsessed about long distance biketouring and travelling off the gringotrail, eating and drinking weird and tasty stuff, and about meeting cool people.

I consider myself pretty friendly, somewhat quiet and easy to be around...or that is at least what I want to be like.

PHILOSOPHY

Experience is what causes a person to make new mistakes instead of old ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im here to host & surf with nice people. and to spread the word of the endangered concept of Danish tolerance.

I do not myself like copy-pasted requests. But that said, I do not think that this is a website for writers only. When I accept surfers or make requests, it is not because of writing skills, but because that particular CS'er seems interesting.
I would personally rather sleep in the nearest park, than surf with someone that I have absolutely nothing in common with :-p

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a ton and hosted fewer, but all the experiences have been awesome, some of course more than other!

I also met my wife here :-)

Interests

I have a big drive for acquiring all sorts of knowledge. Whether that be about politics, history, woodworking, sustainable building or plantlife. We have a small garden.

I also read a lot of fiction. American and Scandinavian classics are my favourites.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books by Jon Krakauer, Michel Houellebecq, Noam Chomsky, John Steinbeck, George Orwell, Knut Hamsun, John Fante, Johannes V. Jensen, Thoreau, Hermann Hesse, Upton Sinclair, Bukowski, Henry Miller, Thomas Payne...

Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Dillinger Escape Plan, Jesus And Mary Chain, David Bowie, Kid Kishore, Einstrzende Neubauten, Death From Above, El Producto, Prokofiev...pretty much everything except crappy european dancemusic.

Movies by Jim Jarmousch, Shinya Tsukamoto, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Lars Von Trier, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Akira Kurosawa, Martin Scorsese...and on and on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you bike-maintenance!

How to make a traditional Danish birthday-cake, how to never feel bored, how to be overly concerned about climate change, and how to live accordingly to that...

I would like to learn to ride a horse... But first I would like to learn how not to be afraid of them!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State
