About Me

Hello fellow travellers!

I work in Management Consulting, Agile Change Management. It's all about reforming cultures and getting people to collaborate on a deep level. Couchsurfing isn't so far off from that! s advice you can thank me for later ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is an amazing community of like-minded people. It's a pleasure to be a part of it, lend a hand to travellers, and to meet interesting people when I'm on the road. Nobody knows an area quite like a local!

Over the years I've met

Interests

Indie cafés, wine/microbrew beer, dinner parties, party parties, gardening, and exploring new places and ideas. Some of my favourite topics include: science/tech, the singularity/VR/AR/BCI/grinding/nootropics, psychology, philosophy, social dynamics.

I'm particularly interesting in global politics (especially from the social philosophy standpoint) and their implications. Remember how I said I was working on some art projects? Here is a quote that I draw inspiration from:

"In using art as a tool for transformation, we have the opportunity to create a reality as beautiful, healthy and strong as our imagination permits."
Martina Hoffman

Music, Movies, and Books

My default music is electronic (especially the really trippy, transportative stuff) but I like a bit of everything from jazz to goth, rap to neo-baroque, worldbeat to top-40... you get the point. I'd love to hear what you're into!

Here's a quick off-the-top-of-my-head list:
Koan, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Bluetech, Floex, Frou Frou / Imogen Heap, NCC, Postal Service, Delerium, :Wumpscut:, Sasha, Tool, Deltron 3030, aKido, Elsiane, múm, Sigur Ros

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went canoe camping on the same river in northern ("north" north) Quebec two years in a row. The first year there was a long drought that reduced the river to a trickle. More than half the time we had to portage, and the other half was spent getting beachec on rocks in the shallow water. The following year was an outstandingly stormy month. The entire river was swollen and churned and frothed ferociously.
It was incredible to experience both extremes!

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning is not a passive process; neither is having fun!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live a mindful, communicative life, and make a great listener.
I also love cooking for, or with, others. Hungry?
