About Me

CURRENT MISSION: Currently traveling around Brazil. I want to get the most of these beautiful country so I’m constantly seeking for new adventures and events ;) follow my way in Instagram @noahrubio
ABOUT ME I like to spend time exercising and keeping fit. I like to go to the gym, cross fit, cycling, swimming, climbing, hiking, and playing football, volleyball… I love sports and being active is part of my life. This passion for sports took me to Edinburgh to study Sports and Exercise Science. During my studies I had the chance to try the taste of Tango and since then it has become one of my passions too. Now I’m also trying to explore other areas of dancing like salsa and bachata.
Obviously and as a good Couchsurfer, I love traveling and meeting new places trying new foods and learning new customs. But the best of traveling is to meet new people. People give sense to everything. I love the light in people’s eyes when they see that I want to know and learn how they live, what they eat, what they do for living… and l love seeing their happiness when they see that I am so interested in their way of living! I love meeting new people and learning how our cultures are alike and, even better, how they are different. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness” (Mark Twain).
I consider myself happy, spontaneous and curious. I am very easy going and I like to contribute to makes things to flow smoothly . I like to share experiences of my past and life in general. I believe that without sharing life will be uncompleted.
PHILOSOPHY Happiness is only real when it is shared

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Offering my couch and showing people around(if I have the time and the energy).I also like to provide information about the city where I live to make easy the visit of my guests. I try to travel as much as I can so I am hosted quite often too. I like to interact with my hosts and I try to participate in most of the activites that they offer me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have surffed and hosted people during the past few years and I have to say that all experiences have been great. I think all the people I have met so far, fits perfectly into the CouchSurfing philosophy. I think that this way to interact with people teach you a lot about yourself and others and I really enjoy it!!!

Interests

I have so many interests but the most important thing is to enjoy whatever you do. When I see people´s passion and enjoyment in any type of activity I feel like to do it.

I love sports (any type of sports is fun to me). I love tango, salsa and dancing any type of music. I like music in general (I like good songs so I do not have a very define music profile). I like movies, I like to cook and to try new foods (I enjoy eating so much). I love the beach, but I like also the countryside. I enjoy many things in life but the most fun part is people. Good company is enough for me to enjoy. I like to know people and to see their culture, how they think, how they behave, how they cook€. Life is meant to be shared!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are a few movies and a few books that I could recommend but to make it simple I will just name one of each.

A book that I really like is "La Buena Suerte" by Alex Rovira y Fernando Trias de Bes. I guess that the book will be called in english "The Good Luck". It is a short book (you can read it in a couple afternoons) where the authors explain in a very cleaver way what is luck and what types of luck you can find in life. I think is a very interesting book which will make you think about your own life and how you can approach your problems. Highly recommend!!!!

A movie that I really like is "Into the wild". I like the message of the movie. I think this movie will transmit you good values and very interesting views about life!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been in so many amazing places but the best of traveling is the people you meet. I feel so lucky because in every place I have been, I have met really nice people. I think that people makes special the places. Also non-interesting places can be amazing ones if there is nice people there. So please, be nice and make this world amazing!!!!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the best teacher that you can find in this world is life. Between us the only thing we can do is to share experiences and try learn from each other. But knowing that life is different for everyone and not for everyone things work in the same way. Every single day is a lesson that everyone has to pass!
