ABOUT ME

I think there's a lot more to me than anything I could ever put on this page. However, I always enjoy meeting new people, seeing new things, and constantly learning about the world around me. I love books and movies and theater and art and food. I live in LA so it's just one dynamic, exciting place. The world can be a wonderful place filled with amazing people, you just have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone a little bit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used CouchSurfing for six months in Eastern Europe, Greece and Egypt.

I've used it a few times in the United States since then. I think it's the best way to meet people and see new places.

I've been away from it for a few years and now I am getting back into it. I've forgotten what it's like to rely on the kindness of strangers. I'm looking forward to getting back on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Used it pretty heavily in my 20's across Europe and the United States. Took a hiatus for a few years and now returning to the fold.

Interests

Wow, where to begin? A wide variety of music, movies and pop culture. Books, art, and philosophy/theology. I love food and a nice drink. But, more importantly, I love the stories that can be gathered by meeting people from backgrounds completely different than my own.

Movies: Goodfellas, Indiana Jones, Star Wars (the old ones), Brazil, Blade Runner, Dark City, The Big Lebowski, 2001, Jurassic Park and about a thousand more.
Books: Animal Farm, Sirens of Titan, Honeymoon With My Brother, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, A Moveable Feast, Anthem, and many, many more.
Music: Bowie, Stones, Beatles, The Shins, My Morning Jacket, Sufjan Stevens, The Ramones, Jay-Z, Cee-Lo Green, Aimee Mann, Johnny Cash. I'm open to a lot of music and always like listening to new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to push myself out of my comfort zone as often as I can. If something makes me nervous I try to push myself to do it. It's always worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Lots to talk about in terms of theater, creating your own art and taking a leap and doing something scary.

I'm trying to learn Spanish. Working up the nerve to have a conversation with someone. (I should take my own advice).

I can cook. Or, at least, I can follow a recipe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good meal and a bottle of wine.
