ABOUT ME

All about me :-) I like to live day by day. I like to make plans... hang out with friends. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. I like simple things. Neighbourhoods. Summertimes. Old toothless granies. Fish and birds.

Currently I am travelling around Spain with my boyfriend Ali and can't host. During our travel we would like to meet fellow surfers and share thoughts and nice talks. We are both passionated about food and if we stay with you, we would very much like to cook some Turkish food for you if you are up for it. We both got some good Turkish granma' skills.

Some few lines about us: Me (Rosa), I'm from Copenhagen, Denmark and currently live there. Ali is from Berlin, Germany and lives there. Somehow we met eachother, fell in love and now we are travelling around for a little while. We both speak Turkish since our parents are Turkish and this is where the Turkish granma' cooking skills come from :-). We both do a lot of different stuff in our daily lifes. Ali does paintings and plays different instruments. I study languages and work as a bartender.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I joined couchsurfing back in 2007 and I've had wonderfull experiences every single time. I have been surfing in Amsterdam, Istanbul, Spain, Cyprus and Metz. I'm trying to stay in contact with all theese amazing people and are expecting them to come to Copenhagen and visit me. Please do it! My couchsurfing experience in Istanbul started up as surfing but ended up in a permanent moving in together with theese wonderfull people.

Interests

Current interests: Backgammon, flamenco, Julio Cortázar, languages, tea & coffee, cheese, happenings in neighbourhoods such as peoples kitchen, fleamarkets and streetparties - basically all attempts created by local people that seaks to create a platform where we can meet eachother. And last but not least how to enjoy Copenhagen on the lowest budget possible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Appart from sharing cooking experiences (I love cooking and do cook turkish, cypriot, nordic... improvisation food :-) ), I can teach backgammon and how to cook turkish coffee.

Languages: teaching and sharing languages! I like to practice languages with my surfers aswell as my hosts. Any language for me is exciting, so if you are staying with me or if I am surfing at yours I would very much like to learn a bit of your language. Me my self, well I am a bit of a language freak. I think languages open new doors to ways of thinking, comunicating and culture. I speak Danish, Turkish and English fluently. I've been studing Spanish and would like to practise it a bit more often. Currently I'm trying to learn German, since my boyfriend Ali speaks it.

Dancing: used to dance ballet for a lot of years, picked up some flamenco moves and generally love to dance.

Yoga: New to yoga, would like to do more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Cooking. I love to cook and would be very happy to cook for you.
I am quite good with Turkish food. Especially stuffed vegetables called "Dolma". My boyfriend Ali is a brilliant cook too :-)
