About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting published, finding ways to live from the things I love doing

ABOUT ME

(I am not a travelling band or musician, but CS says I am. I'm just going to roll with that.)

Walking, writing, drawing, breathing, cooking, seeing, dancing, singing, sleeping, dreaming, traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one." -CS Lewis

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and hosting

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed and hosted off and on since joining in 2008. I've also attended many meetings and camps and have made some of the most important friends of my life through couchsurfing :) I have noticed that Couchsuring changes as it gets bigger, and that I sometimes find myself looking back to 'the good old days' of couchsurfing...when every potential guest or host seemed to carry the mission of being a personal ambassador for borderless interhuman relations deep inside them! Whether it's I or couchsurfing who has changed, I still appreciate Couchsurfing's ongoing potential for sparking compassionate interactions. And for me, that remains its main appeal ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Glued whole loaves of bread to a wall with butter with Eve and Dani. Inexplicably kept up high spirits on a 10 day bike trip during a flood. That was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages: I speak English and German, and some kind of Swiss German. I speak beginner Russian and I want to learn more!

I can do some mechanical work on bicycles, and given enough time, figure things out :) But I'd love to learn more...

Avid writer, knitter, sewer, drawer and baker. Happy to learn or teach anything that you or I can learn or teach.
