About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Reconnect with my hometown and the great people in it.

ABOUT ME

You might say I'm a passionate person who values laughter, smiles, small talk and deep discussions. I try to practice what I preach; that is, a healthy and balanced life, living to the fullest, valuing diversity, acceptance and not taking yourself too seriously!

I like fun things: trying new sports, great music, comedy, outdoorsy stuff
I like serious things: politics, human rights, equity, environmental sustainability, spiritual fulfillment, peace and reconciliation
I like tasty things: Cooking, eating, drinking (in moderation)
I like sharing things: my food, my house, my friends, my experiences, my perspectives (are any of these things really MINE??)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS a looonnnnng time ago, when is was pure and fresh. People really got it back then. It's changed, we all know that, but I think it can still be a great tool to help people share and learn and experience the thrill of connecting with others.

I've surfed in India, Cambodia, Mozambique, Brazil and Canada and have hosted in Saskatoon and Halifax.

One of the best ways to stay interested and connected to your city is to show it to someone. It prevents you from taking it for granted and it keeps you doing fresh things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everyday is amazing if you look at it that way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can discuss meditation practices and techniques and tell you if that herbal supplement your taking really has any evidence behind it. I can share a little from my experiences in health care around the world and working within marginalized groups. I'll show you how to throw a flick with an ultimate frisbee if the weather's nice or a snowman if the snow is fresh. And of course, we can get down to some serious talks about cooking vegetarian cuisine.
