About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience all that life has to offer. And then some....

ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people ans experiencing new things. I love all kinds of food, especially the healthy stuff. My 3 nephews and I are very close, my two big dogs are so fun. On summer weekends I'm either camping, playing volleyball, at the lake with my dogs or nephews, at the river kayaking or camping, working in my yard, canoeing on my lake, riding my motorcycle, playing sports, or fixing something. But my favorite is spending time with great friends. I don't like sitting around too much, I'm an active person and like to get things done.

PHILOSOPHY

I have sooooo many. Be as the banyan in one of my own. Ask me for an explaination. Always have Plan B. Go into situations without expectations, they're never what they appear to be. Work hard. Care about others. Take care of your health. Be open minded. Give people a chance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Teach, Learn, Share

The key to survival for the banyan tree are it's roots. Not the roots from which it comes, but the ghostly awkward massive roots that drop from its limbs as they reach out. From those new roots, comes more strenght to grow. The necessary support for the weight, a source of nutrients and nurture, the essentials for growth. From that new root, the branches extend further, drop new roots, and the growth continues. There is an enormous market place in Hawaii, all under a banyan tree. There are banyan trees in Asia that are a few miles square, one that extends 27km. So, be as the banyan. Don't rely on the roots of your origin so much, rather look for opportunities to spread out, create new relationships, drop new roots, create long lasting bonds, grow your sphere. By doing so, u will experience life like no one, you will not only survvive, but thrive, and best of all, u attain the ability to provide shade and comfort to others. People will stare, some will comment on the austrocity, but many will aw and admire your tenacity and deligence, and will come to you from miles, even from around the world, to seek the comfort of your shading branches. If you are a banyan, the potential for growth is limitless, the world is accepting and inviting. Go, be, grow....as the banyan.
