About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and share the experience with fellow travelers.

ABOUT ME

I am physically active and take a walk, yoga class, or swim every day plus an occasional tennis game. Typically reading 2-4 books at a time so library fines are a recurring problem. In fact, I have a tendency to over-research trips or even read about travel instead of doing it.

My travel to date has emphasized North America--many trips within the US plus Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean. Have been to Europe several times and in graduate school worked a summer job in Sweden through AIESEC, my first experience getting to know another country by living there. In the past I traveled with a partner or family but now that I am living alone its time to connect with other travelers using a resource such as this.

PHILOSOPHY

All living things are created and sustained by a non-physical reality and the quality of life depends upon our relationship to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have joined CS groups based on my age and where I live...next will be groups where I plan to visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. So far I have only hosted. Tried to use CS in Northern CA but did not connect, surfers were all traveling!

Interests

Travel, obviously. Health. Personal Growth. Relationships. Sirituality. Reading/learning. Plus, understanding how the world works, which is why I like investing.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Classical, especially violin concertos. Bluegrass. some folk, country.

MOVIES A continual effort to find good movies that do not depend on car chases, guns, or flawed plots, so its especially satisfying when I stumble upon one.

BOOKS Into lesser known works of popular American authors like Typee or Innocents Abroad. Channeled works by Jane Roberts, Esther Hicks, Kurt Leland.

Travel books such as Paul Theroux, Mark Twain, Jim Rogers and videos by Rick Steves, Rudy Maxa, occasionally Globe Trekker or PBS.
