About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try to improve myself for my own good and the good of others...

ABOUT ME

Now living in the peaceful countryside of Villa de Leyva. A beautiful place to enjoy nature and practise all I´ve been learning during these years. I live a simple life: Meditate and exercise, have my own food garden, give spanish lessons, play with dogs and cat and sing and play instruments everyday. I have my space open for people who think alike and who want to have a peaceful brake on their travels. I can share what I know and would love to hear your stories and learn from you!!!

If I can´t host you, I can help you anyway with any questions you have from Villa or Colombia in general.

Enjoy!

PS: After growing up, I became very picky with requests, please don't bother to write to me if you are just looking for a place to crash, or coming for one of the big festivals. I just won´t reply. Do write if you have the feeling of sharing something deeper or enjoying a peaceful, mindful place. Hosting really depends on my mood, the visits I have (my house is tiny and I get lots of visitors), and on you, but I will be happy to meet in town or invite you for a meal if everything is aligned... En ga areba, aimashou!

December 2019

Irán: The jewel I was dreaming of for so many years! Finally I got to go there by myself!

I connected so much with your beautiful people, your music, the wisdom of the poetry and knowledge of your ancestors... A must go back definitely!

Dear Europe: I want your sweets and wines but not your individualistic life style! Thank you for this insight...

May 2016

Again in my beloved Colombia... But I fell in love with one country! Myanmar, lovely people with pure eyes, Buddhist chantings, men with lungy, girls with colorful skirts and tanakha always on their cheeks, smiling young and old, talking and singing about democracy, full of Hope, Hope Hope. Thank you for the peaceful pagodas, meditation centers and green landscapes. If you don´t meditate in the land of Dhamma, where? Something very deep changed in me after this trip...

India, you almost killed me this time huh? But from happiness and sickness, deep knowledge and shallowness, purification and dirty and polluted places, spirituality and yoga business. Always with your two faces, big challenge for spiritual evolution. I'm so happy I still get out the comfort at my peaceful place to get tested again! Now I feel I'm stronger!!!

Nov 2012Traveling in Perú and Bolivia was something i didn´t plan but happened for a reason. It was the first time for me traveling with someone, which is challenging itself. Having in mind not only your own preferences but someone else´s, caring and be taken care of, learning from your travel partners was a really valuable experience. But again I am on my own, and let´s see what destiny is going to bring this time. Excited about learning more and more, especially about myself which is a life long journey...

Dec 2011India trip just finished, but its magic keeps moving my heart and taking me out of the routine back home. Little me eventually became the giant who could overcome the difficulties in the most unbelievable situations, and I ended up enjoying everything about the chaos... even the nasty tap water :)The faculty of fearlessness was developed deep in me... Thank you India!

Jan 2011I made the purpose of travelling around Colombia, since sadly I knew more about other countries than my own. And one day Nevado del Ruiz appeared in my dreams. Finally I visited this lovely volcano and all the coffee region... Undescribable. I love you my beautiful country!

May 2010Thinking about the trip I just finished, I realized over 200 people helped me in one way or another!!!With almost no money, no plan, and knowing no one, I stayed one year in Japan and Korea! When I was struggling always somehow, someone or something would come to help me (sometimes in the less expected way!)In the end I learnt to let go of fear, and keep going no matter how difficult the situation was. This one year of experiences left in my heart the wish to endlessly serve others and an incredible trust in the flow of life... I do as much as I can, but the rest is not in my hands...You traveller coming to Colombia, I will be more than glad to help you!

PHILOSOPHY

Current priority: Using other senses besides the eyes... As a tool of losing the attachment to the eyes, as a tool for living the present.
Developing the heart, is so much more important than developing the shallow...

Interests

MUSIC! I play charango, sitar, zampoñas, guitar. NATURE! Dreams and lucid dreaming practices. Sweets!!!!! (love them) chocolate (of course). Hot chocolate when it´s raining, having a blanket on, watching a movie or something. I sing and play a few instruments, music is the best healer. Videogames. Cats (pretty sure I used to be a cat in the past) ART, painting, drawing, looking at. Touching and smelling. Beards. ICE CREAMS: Arequipe y Yogurth Frutos del Bosque from Crepes and Waffles. Unknown places where tourists never go. Awakening without an alarm.Taking bath in Ganga... Ufff!. Cooking for people I care, and for people I don't care I can start caring by cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie: El lado oscuro del corazón, Les Triplettes de Belleville, Lisbon Story, Tampopo, Man on the moon, Arizona Dream.
Book: Rayuela (Cortázar), Ensayo sobre la ceguera (Saramago), Demian, Siddharta (Hesse), Snow in the summer (Sayadaw U Jotika)
Music: All! Jamming and improvising, music for dancing, spiritual music, music for relaxation, music as a way of connecting to your inner self

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Becoming a Tour Guide around India. Playing the Sitar. Driving a plane. Touching a dangerous snake. Dreaming Awake. Climbing Mount Fuji. The magic of a Buddhist temple in the middle of the mountains and the midst at 2am while the monks were sleeping... Sneaking into Machu Picchu. Working in the streets of Rio de Janeiro playing music and saving enough to continue traveling, meeting my music Guru in India.
Travelling by motorbike around the northeast states of India... and feeling the sensation of crying of happiness...

Everything I know is to share... Everything you know I want to learn...
