About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find and enjoy the sweet goodness in food, people and life.

ABOUT ME

I am a food nerd....

Not a foodie... a food nerd. I have an unhealthy obsession with food that specifically deals with the science behind everything about food from the soil until it hits your plate. I love food so much I cry, write songs and write poetry about it.
...ok, not really but I would!

I love what food can represent, how it physically and emotionally even socially affect you. Despite studying food science, I think I'm an "OK cook". I was a grad student for so long, I didn't make the time to cook lavishly all the time! No matter, I've finally found a study that landed an AWESOME career I want to do for the rest of my life!

Things you should know before you meet me:

1. I'm a hugger. Get used to it. If I see you, you gonna get hugged... unless it's against your religion/culture, then I'll give you a high 5!

2. I have a dry, dorky, dirty and sarcastic sense of politically incorrect humor. Whoever makes me laugh almost instantly becomes my friend. I like hearing jokes, but I'm terrible at retelling them again.

3. I'm generally a happy person but certain intolerable situations will incur a wrath.

4. I'm notorious about acting on impulse (especially about traveling).

5. Intrigued by life and its unraveling intricacies. I'm in love with people and the notion of values stemming from personal experience.

6. I am fiercely loyal and protective of those I care for (might be a southern thing about me).

7.I constantly desire to travel if at anything to city near by or down the street.

8. My love for Brunch, fried chicken, and ice cream is like my love for my momma- it's deep and it's REAL.

9. Ice cream, music and warm sunny days are my vices.

10. I could watch movies all day.

11. I love being surrounded by random people while dancing (particularly to house music).

12. I strongly believe dancing and eating ice cream can cure ANYTHING!

13. GOOD MUSIC BLOWS MY MIND IN A WAY NOTHING ELSE CAN. I enjoy all types of music (believe me, you'd be surprised).

14.I truly believe in the Golden Rule: Do on to others, as one would do for oneself (in life, in CS, in everything).

15. Constantly searching for new life experiences and good people because I want more and want to use it to continue bettering myself.

PHILOSOPHY

"if you cant be good, at least be good at it"

"There is no love more sincere, than the love of food"

Teach, Learn, Share

At this point of my life, I just want to gather experiences. I used to take Argentine tango, salsa, batchata and rumba classes. Love it...still do, unfortunately there aren't many dance studios where I moved.

Despite my science degree, I believe in holistic and Chinese medicine (acupuncture, tai ch). I practiced Bikram Yoga for a while and found it invigorating.
