About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Re-establish myself as a host and within the Nashville cs community

ABOUT ME

I'm now in my 7th year of living in Nashville and finally made it (semi) permanent last year when I bought a house. I spend alot of my free time working to improve the place (its old) and cleaning up the trashed/overgrown woods in my backyard. My passion for years has been my job, but I've started to turn my hobbies into something more serious by working to earn my BS in Biology. I love foraging, photographing and eating wild foods, especially mushrooms, and my time away from home usually revolves around the outdoors. I'm pretty well versed in Nashville life, but I'm sure there's plenty still to discover. I try to see as much live music as possible at the smaller venues in town, and enjoy looking for the best expressions of locally sourced food at the restaurants around town.

PHILOSOPHY

treat others the way you want to be treated

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm finally re-opening my couch for anyone passing through. I'm a bit outside of Nashville, but its pretty quick and easy getting to downtown. East Nashville is a bit closer; West End and 12 South a bit further. I'm hoping to meet the folks around here who are more involved and do some catching up--its been years since my home circumstances allowed me to host. My travel plans in the US are all camping this summer, so my CS experiences will come from being a good host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Years ago I both surfed and hosted, but shortly after, my circumstances changed and I couldn't do any of either. Now I'm set up to host again--looking forward!

Teach, Learn, Share

if there's something youd like to learn about while youre here in nashville, i would too. i saw maya angelou speak here in town and one of the things she said was that if someone asks you if you can do something always say yes. with a week and a library you can do anything. or just about.
