About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore. Dream. Discover.

ABOUT ME

A girl with itchy feet, willing to experience all the world and the many cultures out there have to offer. Simply love life on the road and all the unexpected encounters it brings me every time.

PHILOSOPHY

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." [Mark Twain]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS quite some time ago but never really had the chance to experience it - hope to change this trend soon! I can't wait to start surfing but also to meet you guys coming to London, show you around and - if possible - give you a couch! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: some of my favourites are Into The Wild, The Motorcycle Diaries, Little Miss Sunshine, The Godfather, Totsie, Amelie, Braveheart, The Matchmaker and, yes, I must confess that despite my initial skepticism I watched all the movies of the Twilight saga and loved them :-P

Music: I am definitely a rock girl!

Books: I am a great reader and love losing myself in second-hand bookshops in search for the next great read. Just finished "Off the Road" by Carolyn Cassady -a must-read for those interested in the beat generation, it's amazing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently: taking part in a Buddhist ceremony in Koyasan, travelling solo on a third-class Russian train for 4 nonstop days, sleeping in a yurt in Mongolia, walking through one of the most ancient sections of the Great Wall..
What's next? Hopefully a RTW trip soon ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to prepare some delicious Italian dishes, in particular “arancini”, Sicilian-style rice balls.
