About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Avoid parole violations

ABOUT ME

I love cupcakes. I have an odd obsession with collecting tacky religious memorabilia.

I don't have a T.V., but I spend too much time on my laptop. I just can't resist travel blogs, independent news, and TED.com to name a few.

I wish people would use bicycles as their major form of transportation. I laugh at inappropriate times and appreciate those that inspire my behavior.

As for work, I'm too busy volunteering at every imaginable event to fit in an actual full time job. If U.S. corporations would adopt a 3-day work week and offer 2 months of annual vacation time, I might consider a career move.

I'm into kayaking, camping, hiking, cycling, scuba, music/film festivals. I've been doing yoga for years, but you'd never know it by watching me.

I make wine that my friends kindly pretend to like. I'm a vegetarian which is an American Indian word meaning bad hunter.

I have been labeled an enabler which I staunchly deny. More vino anyone........?

PHILOSOPHY

There's nobody crazier than a Cuban, and nobody can party like a Cajun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS went from Groovy to Gross........what a pity

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Also a member of www.warmshowers.org which is couchsurfing for cyclists.

Interests

I've been a traveler for several decades. Over the years my focus and interests have evolved. I've had more adventures and fun than the law allows. I regret not keeping a diary, but I was always worried my parents might accidentally get a hold of it and the shock woulda killed them.... Now I most enjoy spending time with local people and experiencing their country through their own personal stories. I like to meet their friends and family, share a meal, a drink, a laugh. I want to see the spectacular natural beauty of a place. I'm also drawn toward the freakish and bizarre...

Music, Movies, and Books

I happened to be in Capetown during a Documentary FilmFest one year....celluloid heaven!

Feel Good movies make me Feel Nauseous

If there's good Blues in the area, I'm definitely there. Other genres of live music, I'm probably there too! Best concerts ever: Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen

I'm a library junkie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fixed my washing machine
