Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and I love meeting interesting people from everywhere around the globe. By participating here, I can combine both. Hooray!

Interests

=> Traveling! I love to get to know new places, people and cultures. Indeed, that's probably the reason why I'm here.

=> Soccer, Tennis, Golf and Snowboarding. If you like to go jogging, I usually run around Hamburg's beautiful "Außenalster" and I welcome anybody who joins me. The route is about 13km, but it can be shortened significantly if you skip part of it using public transport. I used to be a good runner, but now I'm getting old - it's not difficult to keep up with my pace. ;)

=> Movies, partying, going out - Hamburg is full of opportunities. I live close to the popular bar & club districts "Schanze" and "Kiez / Reeperbahn". If you want to go out, I'll sure find some friends who already have plans for any given evening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Seen the Northern Lights in Iceland
- Paddled with a canoe through mangroves in a volcano lake in Nicaragua
- Ridden a camel in the Sahara desert in Morocco
- Met a grizzly with cubs in Canada
- Attended a wedding in India
- Jumped over a crevasse in the Swiss Alps with my snowboard (lesson: be careful when you go off-piste)
- Climbed the Chinese wall together with approx. 1 million Chinese tourists

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to know anything about business and economics, feel free to ask.
As I'm a part time snowboarding teacher, you are also very welcome to ask for Snowboarding lessons - you just have to pay me the vacation to the mountains. Great offer, isn't it? ;)
